Kuleli & Help Beach (Boncuklu Bay):
The Modern, Trendy, and Vibrant Face of the Peninsula

As you head from the city center toward the Oyuktepe Peninsula, you are greeted by two popular bays that make you feel as if you’ve landed on a tropical Mediterranean island: Boncuklu Bay (Help Beach) and the adjacent Kuleli Beach. Unlike the quiet, traditional picnic atmosphere of the Samanlık Bays, these spots are the go-to addresses in Fethiye for those seeking quality music, comfortable sunbeds, chic restaurants, and an entertaining day at the beach. Blending the lush green of pine forests with the legendary turquoise hues created by the sea stones, these bays are indispensable for those looking to add a bit of dynamism and comfort to their holiday.
Location & Transport Tips
-
Distance: Located approximately 7–8 km from Fethiye city center (the Promenade/Harbor), these beaches sit on the outer strip of the peninsula.
-
Public Transport: You can reach the entrance of both establishments very easily and economically by taking the "Yarımada / Aksazlar - Boncuklu - Kuleli" minibuses (dolmuş) departing from Fethiye city center. The journey takes about 15–20 minutes.
Facilities, Services & Entry Rules
Since these two bays are managed as private or leased Beach Clubs, they operate with a different service concept compared to municipal beaches.
-
Entry & Reservations: Entry is generally free, but depending on the season, a minimum spend limit or a vehicle entry fee may apply at the door. Especially if you are visiting world-famous trendy spots like Help Beach during the summer season, booking a sunbed or a private cabana in advance is a life-saver to ensure you don't get turned away at the entrance.
-
Sunbeds, Cabanas & Comfort: Along with standard sunbeds, there are wooden cabanas located right over the water, straw umbrellas, and tropical-themed sunbathing areas. These venues offer the highest level of beach comfort in Fethiye. The showers, changing cabins, and restrooms are extremely modern and clean.
-
Food, Drinks & Concept: Bringing outside food and drinks into these two bays is not permitted. Inside, you will find chic restaurants offering gourmet dishes from world cuisine, stone-oven pizzas, fresh seafood, and bars serving ice-cold cocktails throughout the day.
-
The Sea: The sea at both Boncuklu and Kuleli is comprised of large pebbles and stones. It is precisely because of this stony structure that the water is as clear as glass—like a pool—with not a single grain of sand to cloud it. The color of the water is a mesmerizing turquoise. You should definitely bring water shoes and a snorkel to admire the underwater view. The sea is calm and very sheltered.
-
Activities & Nightlife: These beaches, which serve as peaceful sunbathing spots during the day, transition into quality DJ performances, live music, and beach parties during "Happy Hour" in the late afternoon.
"Escapes Go" Traveler's Tip
If you are looking for a budget-friendly spot where you can lay down your towel, read a book in silence, or open your own picnic basket, this place might not be your best fit. However, if you are thinking, "Today I’m going to pamper myself, listen to great music by turquoise waters, and dine in a stylish restaurant," then head here without hesitation.
