Don’t Forget to Equalize: As you descend, you will feel pressure in your ears. Regularly perform the "Valsalva maneuver" (pinching your nose and exhaling gently) every half metre before any pain occurs, as taught by your instructor.
Underwater Sign Language: Since you cannot speak underwater, ensure you have mastered the basic hand signals ("Everything is okay," "I want to go up," "My ears are not equalizing") to communicate with your instructor.
Respect Nature: Do not touch the corals or amphorae, and do not startle the fish. Remember, you are only a guest there.
